Second Phoebus exhibition in Ghent opened 15th of March: ROOTED


Following The Birth of Capitalism, The Phoebus Foundation runs a second exhibition at the Carmelite Monastery in Ghent, from 15 March untiul 6th of August, 2017: ROOTED. Painting Flanders.

ROOTED takes a fresh look at one of the major turning points in the art history of Flanders, from around 1880 to 1930. It brings together an exceptional selection of masterpieces, many of them privately owned, by the most radical and influential painters of the period. The exhibition will be held at the Provinciaal Cultuurcentrum Caermersklooster from 15 March 2017 to 6 August 2017.
